So had to get a replacement. And while this one does not fit in the case either, it is so much more effective at holding the TomTom. The cam sucker for the window gives a very positive feel, and the clamping actiuons allow the position to be set without droop. I now have a collection of TomTom mounts, and this is still the mainline one for putting the GPS where you can see it and control it. Just a pity that it puts a mark on the window, advertising the use of GPS in this car; may try a bean-bag suface (with this mount) for some cars. Works for about 2 weeks, the constantly falls off the windshield. It doesn't seem like it should be that difficult to come up with a decent mount, and I was optimistic based on the other review but this one has the same problems. Yuck.
