I haven’t used the 775 but if it is quite similar to the 770 (and it appears that it is) I wrote a rave review of using the 770 in Europe and in the US in the past month. Please see that review for details; I can only say about this 775 that if it is like the 770 it is a great GPS system in Europe and in the US.

. . . and likely my last from Garmin anyway.
You will not get a user manual for this GPS which didn’t bode well for myself as a first time user of this type device. Garmin’s take?? They have gone “green” and don’t include the user manual. But you do get (I did anyway) 6 different copies of the quick start manual in different languages and 2 copies of the end user agreement. That’s green?? So if you want “portable” instructions you have to drag your laptop with you and use the PDF version of the manual. I also have Streets and Trips with GPS on my laptop. The main reason I bought the Garmin unit was so I didn’t have to drag around my laptop to use a portable GPS unit.
As with any other FM transmitter close to a larger city, it is useless. The bluetooth is medicore at best, and the MP3 player even less so. The mapping part of it works as well as Streets and Trips.
It’s a little pricey for what you get out of it (even though I seem to have fared better than some and got mine for less than $400. )
And Garmin customer support. . . . don’t get me started.

Not worth it. Bad unresponsive touch screen. mounting unit is overdone and could be expensive to replace. All Garmin really did here is over clock the CPU, add a crappy FM transmitter and other stuff I don’t need.
I think the Magellan or tom tom look like better buys, regardless of what the sales people say.

I just cannot justify 1. 5X increase in price to the base model. it is no faster, and the touch screen is worse. Same mistakes GPS wise with this model as the base.

nuvi 775T is my second experience in GPS, and all of the up-grades like 3D, name of streets, Bluetooth, screen’s night/day are helpfull. 775T have a good signal level, link whit internet for dowload upgrades and tools. I don’t tested the MSN and FM signal yet.
